Mystic Mint Mingle Tea: A Potion To Ease The Stomach

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of fresh peppermint leaves (or 1 tablespoon dried peppermint)
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons agave nectar (adjust to taste)
  • 5-6 basil leaves
  • 1/4 cup fresh blueberries

 

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Peppermint Tea:

    • If using fresh peppermint leaves, bruise them gently to release their oils. If using dried peppermint, no need to bruise.
    • Boil 2 cups of water and pour it over the peppermint leaves (or tea bag). Let it steep for about 5-7 minutes. 
  2. Make the Mint Mingle Base:

    • In a blender, combine the cooled peppermint tea, fresh lime juice, and agave nectar. Blend until well combined.
  3. Add Basil and Blueberries:

    • Tear the basil leaves and add them to the mixture in the blender. Add the fresh blueberries as well.
  4. Blend Again:

    • Blend the mixture once more until the basil and blueberries are thoroughly incorporated.
  5. Strain (Optional):

    • If you prefer a smoother texture, strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve to remove any solids.
  6. Chill and Serve (for a cold drink):

    • Transfer the mixture to a pitcher and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to chill. You can also add ice cubes to each glass before pouring.
  7. Garnish (Optional):

    • Optionally, garnish with a sprig of fresh mint or a few additional blueberries before serving.

And there you have it! A soothing drink, cold or hot, that sits well in the stomach.
